Aktivitäten im Harz - BodeBude What's up? A lot... Hiking & Trails: In the immediate vicinity of the BodeBude, you'll find several well-marked hiking trails. Be it the well-known Hexenstieg (Witches' Trail) or the Bodetalweg (Bode Valley Trail). For a short exploration, we recommend the trails to "Wilhelmsblick" or "Treseburg." The latter may actually have existed. Both locations offer a fantastic view of the Bode Valley and Treseburg. Please note! The Bodetalweg between Treseburg and Thale is closed every year from the beginning of November to the beginning of April due to weather conditions. During this time, cleanup and security measures take place. The detour leads via "Weißer Hirsch" and "Hexentanzplatz" (Hexentanzplatz Trail). More information and tips are available upon request from us on site. Of course, hiking is possible at any time of the year. This can be a short, relaxed walk in the forest, a whole day hike or even a long-distance hike. The best known is the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg, which leads directly past the BodeBude. Extensive and up-to-date information about the Harz hiking area can be found on the website RESIN INFO. Here we've put together a few suggestions for getting to know the area, for a short walk with your dog and/or fussy children. Some of the routes can be combined. The map is only an excerpt and is intended to show the possibilities around the BodeBude. You can also download the file . (german) We'd like to recommend the Forest Fiebel (Forest Guide) to you. It contains a wealth of interesting information about our forests and (very importantly) the correct way to behave in the forest. Please check it out. (german) Die Waldfiebel Harz Narrow Gauge Railway - HSB: It's a fantastic experience to travel through the stunning landscape on the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway, stopping at fascinating locations. With 25 steam locomotives on a route network of over 140 km, consisting of the Harzquerbahn, Selketalbahn, and Brockenbahn, it's impressive. Holders of a Deutschlandcard can also use it here. However, the route to the Brocken is excluded. The season doesn't matter at all here, as the landscape always has something to offer. Information on timetables, current changes, prices and ticket sales points of the HSB . The Rappbode Dam & Harzdrenalin: Another must-see or experience when visiting the Harz Mountains is undoubtedly a detour to the Rappbode Dam. This structure is truly awe-inspiring. A walk across the dam wall with views on both sides is impressive. There's also a hiking trail along it, so you can combine the whole experience with a hike. Guided tours are also offered. The icing on the cake, however, is the 458.50-meter-long suspension bridge. If the view and the height (100 meters) aren't enough for you, you absolutely have to climb the observation tower (39 meters). Then things really get going: Megazipline, Gigaswing, Ultrashot, and Wallrunning. Find out about opening hours, current weather conditions, etc. here. The Brocken. The mountain (1141 m) with its distinctive summit can be seen from afar. That is, of course, when it isn't disappearing into a cloud or fog. This is precisely why you should check the visibility up there before visiting. This way, you can avoid frustration. How you get up there depends entirely on your fitness level. There are various hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty, or you can take the narrow-gauge railway. This is definitely not possible with your own vehicle. What's the visibility like?: Brocken webcam , When does my train to the summit leave?: Brockenbahn Hexentanzplatz & Rosstrappe: The newly built witch village on the Hexentanzplatz is truly stunning, and the mountain theater with its fantastic backdrop is a real highlight. Both can be combined with a cable car ride, a trip to the zoo, a ride on the "Harzbob" summer toboggan run, or simply enjoying the view of the Bode Valley and Thale and its surroundings. The latter is also available from the "Rosstrappe" viewing point. The view of the Bode Valley is both legendary and truly amazing. You can reach it by car, bus, chairlift, or on foot along the hiking trails. Before you visit, you should familiarize yourself with the legends surrounding these two places. Afterwards, you'll see the whole thing with completely different eyes. The program: Mountain Theatre , The Legend of the " Rosstrappe " and the " Witches' Dance Floor " Thermal Baths & Sauna Dirty weather? Tired bones? Water lover? Or all three? A day at the Bodetal Thermal Baths is sure to help you relax. With your registration form, which you receive along with the "Sarfuchs" spa tax booklet, you can save 30% on the entrance fee. Parking in the parking deck in front of the thermal baths is discounted for visitors. When is the thermal bath open and how much does it cost me? Pullman City Harz The Western town. In Hasselfelde, just outside of town, you can experience the Wild West in the East. Crazy, right? Western shows with tons of action and Native Americans who want to give visitors a glimpse into the lives of Native Americans. The focus in Pullman City, however, is definitely on shows and events. A MUST for Western fans of all ages. There are several great events throughout the year. Why are there cowboys and Indians there? How many gold nuggets do I need to bring, and what will I get in return? You can find out all about it here . Mines & Caves Where there's a mountain, there's a mine nearby. You might think so. In any case, there are quite a few closed mines that can now be visited. Here you can get a glimpse into the underworld. Examples include the Rammelsberg World Heritage Site - Museum & Visitor Mine, the Glasebach Mine, and the Samson Mine. Truly interesting! The naturally formed caves are no less interesting and impressive. Some were opened to visitors long ago and are equipped with walkways, stairs, and appropriate lighting. The Baumanns- & Rübeländer Stalactite Caves, the Iberger Stalactite Caves, and the Barbarossa Cave are very well known. Here you can look deep into the Baumann & Rübeländer Stalactite Cave , the Iberger Stalactite Cave , and the Barbarossa Cave. World Heritage & Half-Timbered Houses A city tour can be boring, but this one certainly isn't. Quedlinburg should be mentioned first. A guided tour is a must when visiting the Harz Mountains. Wernigerode, with its beautiful old town and fairytale castle, is set in a beautiful landscape. For lovers of half-timbered houses, Blankenburg is also very interesting. Here you can visit the historic old town, villas from the Wilhelminian period, and the castle. A little further out, but definitely worth a visit, is Michaelstein Monastery. It's beautifully situated and such a peaceful place. World War II didn't leave much of Halberstadt behind, but the cathedral with its treasury and the Jewish quarter are definitely worth a visit. Want to get a taste of the (old) city air? In Quedlinburg , Halberstadt , Wernigerode , or Blankenburg Fly fishing in the Harz Mountains Fly fishing is a very popular pastime for passionate anglers. Here in Treseburg, in the Bode River, it's permitted. Of course, only with a valid fishing license and a guest fishing permit. These can be purchased here at the BodeBude. They are available as one-day or three-day permits. Annoying fish? Harzer-Fliegenfischer e. V. Castles & Palaces Falkenstein Castle tops our list of favorites. It has served as a film set several times. The location is stunning, and the castle itself is stunning. The castle is connected to the creation of the "Sachsenspiegel" (Saxon Mirror). The exhibitions at Falkenstein Castle are no less interesting. Please note! The castle will remain closed for renovations until at least July 2025. Regenstein Castle and Fortress A rock-hewn complex that is second to none. There's a lot on offer here, especially for children. A huge adventure playground with many child-friendly information panels. A special app allows you to explore the castle complex virtually. A visit to the Viking Festival, which takes place here every year at Easter, is also recommended. Wernigerode Castle This is a truly fairytale castle. The location is fantastic, and the castle can be seen from afar. The castle itself is stunning, but a guided tour of the rooms really gives a glimpse of days gone by. Of course, there's also a castle ghost. Really! No kidding! There are special tours for children, such as "Visiting the Castle Ghost." Roseburg Castle This is something completely different. Construction of the castle began in 1907 at the instigation of architect Bernhard Sehring. The complex was intended to serve as a summer residence and exhibition space for his collection of art treasures. A tour, or at least a visit to the castle café, is particularly worthwhile in summer. Wernigerode Castle , Falkenstein Castle , Regenstein Castle and Fortress , Roseburg Stolberg Town in the Harz Mountains This small town deserves a special mention. This beautiful, lovingly restored, half-timbered town is absolutely worth seeing and has a rich history. Stolberg Castle is considered the cradle of the Dutch royal house, the House of Orange. Thomas Müntzer, familiar to many from history class, was born in Stolberg. Martin Luther preached in Stolberg against the peasant revolts, which were in turn led by the aforementioned man. We continue to the Joseph's Cross. Not far from Stolberg, on the "Großer Auerberg," which is 580 meters high in itself. Here, in 1834, none other than Karl Friedrich Schinkel built the second version of the tower. The first, built in the 17th century using half-timbering, had already been demolished several years earlier due to dilapidation. Terms of Service 1. Scope 1.1. These terms and conditions apply to contracts for the rental of rooms, apartments, holiday flats and bungalows - hereinafter referred to as "rooms" - for accommodation, as well as all other services provided by BodeBude for the customer. They can be replaced by conditions negotiated on a case-by-case basis. These General Terms and Conditions can be viewed by every customer and guest in the BodeBude or on the BodeBude website. 1.2 non-smoking rooms Our rooms in the BodeBude are strictly non-smoking rooms. Should guests nevertheless smoke in the room, we share the cleaning costs (curtains, furniture, carpets, beds, etc.) with the room guest with 80 euros. If the room cannot be rented due to the strong smell of smoke despite cleaning afterwards, an additional night will be charged according to the price list 2. Conclusion of contract 2.1. The accommodation contract is deemed to have been concluded when the guest has reserved a room by telephone, e-mail, Internet or fax and this has been confirmed by us. BodeBude can also confirm by telephone, e-mail, fax or, if desired, by letter. An accommodation contract has also come about through conclusive behavior, in particular if a room has been reserved and made available and an explicit commitment is not possible due to time constraints. 2.2. The contractual partners are BodeBude and the guest. If a customer acts on behalf of or for guests registered by him, he is responsible for the liabilities and all obligations arising from the accommodation contract. 3. Services, prices, payment 3.1. BodeBude is obliged to keep the rooms booked by the guest or customer available and to provide the agreed services. Reservations of parking spaces on BodeBude's premises are only available to the customer with prior consent from BodeBude and only for a limited period of time. 3.2. The entire invoice amount can be paid on the day of arrival, but must be paid on the day of departure at the latest (cash or EC cards are accepted). 3.3. If the guest defaults on payment, BodeBude can cancel the accommodation agreement with immediate effect. BodeBude reserves the right to claim further damages, in particular the cancellation of other rentals. In the event of payment arrears, BodeBude makes use of its landlord's right of lien and can temporarily prevent the removal of items and luggage by self-help until clarification has been achieved 3.4. If the period between the conclusion of the contract and the fulfillment of the contract exceeds 4 months and if the price generally charged by BodeBude for such services increases, BodeBude can increase the contractually agreed price appropriately, but by no more than 10%. The agreed prices include the respective statutory VAT. This is currently 7%. Changes in VAT are for the benefit or at the expense of the guest. 3.5. BodeBude is entitled to demand a reasonable advance payment or security upon conclusion of the contract or thereafter. The amount of the advance payment and the payment dates are agreed in writing. 4. Cancellation and withdrawal conditions 4.1. A cancellation must always be made in writing (by e-mail, letter, fax). For cancellations made less than 7 days before the arrival date, BodeBude reserves the right to charge 100% of the total invoice amount. The customer is free to prove that no damage has occurred or that the damage suffered by BodeBude is lower than the flat rate required. 4.2. If a date for withdrawal from the contract has been agreed in writing between BodeBude and the guest, the guest can withdraw from the contract up to that point without triggering payment or damage claims on the part of BodeBude. The customer right of withdrawal expires if he does not exercise his right of withdrawal in writing to BodeBude by the agreed date. 4.3. If the customer's right of withdrawal has been agreed in writing within a certain period, BodeBude is entitled to withdraw from the contract during this period, even if the customer has not expressly waived his right to withdraw. If an agreed advance payment is not made by the agreed date, BodeBude is also entitled to withdraw from the contract. 4.4 Furthermore, BodeBude is entitled to extraordinarily withdraw from the contract for an objectively justifiable reason, for example if - force majeure or other circumstances for which BodeBude is not responsible make it impossible to fulfill the contract, - rooms are booked with misleading or false information about essential facts, e.g. in the person of the customer or the purpose, - BodeBude has reasonable grounds to believe that the use of the accommodation service could jeopardize the smooth running of business, the security or the reputation of BodeBude in public. If BodeBude is entitled to withdraw, the customer is not entitled to compensation. 4.5. BodeBude must inform the customer of the exercise of the right of withdrawal immediately using the communication channel used with the customer. 5. Room availability, handover and return 5.1. Unless otherwise agreed, the customer does not acquire the right to be provided specific rooms. 5.2. Check in: the rooms can be occupied from 2 p.m. If you arrive earlier, your luggage can usually be stored. If the room is already ready for occupancy, it can be occupied earlier. For better planning, please inform the BodeBude of the approximate time of arrival. If there are any delays, the pension must also be informed in good time by telephone or email. Otherwise, in order to minimize damage, she is entitled to release the room from 6 p.m. and in the following days for further reservations. The day of arrival and the day of departure count as one day for the reservation, so the number of nights counts. 5.3. Check out: On the agreed departure day, the rooms must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. at the latest. Luggage may be stored free of charge. If the handover takes place after 12 p.m. for reasons for which the guesthouse is not responsible, 50% of the room price will be charged, after 6 p.m. 100%. 6. Liabilities 6.1 The guest is liable to BodeBude for damage caused by him or his guests. 6.2 The tender was created to the best of our knowledge. We are not liable for any influence on the rented property by force majeure, by power and water failures customary in the country and by storms. Likewise, there is no liability in the event of unforeseeable or unavoidable circumstances such as official orders, sudden construction sites or disruptions caused by natural and local events. However, the BodeBude is happy to help with solving the problems (as far as this is possible). BodeBude is not liable for the use of the play and sports equipment provided. The guest's arrival and departure is his own responsibility and liability. 6.3 It is the guest's responsibility to insure items brought along against theft, damage or destruction. Liability on the part of BodeBude in the event of loss, theft, damage or destruction is excluded. 6.4 Should disruptions or defects occur in BodeBude services, BodeBude will endeavor to remedy the situation if it becomes aware of it or if the customer complains immediately. For his part, the guest is obliged to do what is reasonable for him to remedy the disruption and to keep possible damage to a minimum. Liability claims expire if the customer fails to report the loss, destruction or damage to BodeBude immediately after learning of it. 6.5 If the customer is provided with a parking space in the garage or carport or on a parking lot, even for a fee, this does not result in a custody agreement. In the event of loss or damage to motor vehicles parked or maneuvered on the pension property and their contents, the pension is not liable, except in the case of intent or gross negligence. This also applies to vicarious agents of the pension. 6.6 Wake-up calls, messages, mail and goods for guests are not part of BodeBude's range of services.
