TRESEBURGER PUMPKIN CULLING ON WEDNESDAY, 02/10/2024

 

This year, the traditional and spectacular pumpkin rolling will of course take place again. Young and old are welcome to actively participate or simply watch the action. On 02.10. from 15 o'clock it is time again. As in previous years, the event will be held at the Treseburg fire station (near the roundabout).  

Of course, there will also be plenty of food and drink.

HARZLAUF IN THALE

 

The Harzlauf is to take place again in Thale on 27 October 2024. Start and finish are in the Kurpark.  The start number distribution starts at 7 a.m. on 27 October in the Kurpark Thale. You can find more information on the "Bodetal" page.

Spooky parade, witches' mile & stage spook From 31 October to 03 November 2024 in Thale. Logically! With candy floss & bratwurst, merchant mile & carousel.  Admission is free.

"FIRE OUT" on the BROCKEN!

 

Since this afternoon, the forest fire on the Königsberg near the Brocken summit is considered extinguished. The road closures have thus been largely lifted. Current information: www.nationalpark-harz.de/sperrungen IN TRESEBURG THERE ARE NO IMPACTS FROM THE FIRE AT THE BROCKEN The source of the fire is about 25 kilometres away (as the crow flies). There is no impairment due to smoke, closures or emergency vehicles. There were/are no evacuations.

changed bus schedule between Thale and Blankenburg - stops in Treseburg and Altenbrak

 

From June 20, 2024, a special timetable will apply and the line number will change from 557 (257) to 657. This line goes to Altenbrak (parking lot) and turns around there. The "Wildstein" stop will be served during the validity of the changed timetable.

Departures to Thale are also possible from the "Rübezahl" stop, located at the roundabout. Either with line 657 or 256. The latter goes via Allrode and Friedrichsbrunn and takes about 46 minutes. Please note the current notices at the stops.

Diversion / Traffic

 

From June 20th, 2024 until December 20th, 2024, the OD Altenbrak will be completely closed.

This means that access from the B81 via Altenbrak to Treseburg is not possible.

There is a diversion via Wienrode.

 

If you are arriving from Thale or Allrode, there is no diversion/closure.

There is no closure in Treseburg (roundabout) - the town can be driven through.

 

Construction work is still taking place in Treseburg and there may be short-term disruptions caused by construction vehicles or heavy goods transport.

 

Altenbrak and the Bodetal trout farm Zordel can be reached from Treseburg.

"Tag der offenen Tür" - Die Rappbodetalsperre wird 65

 

Am 15. September, zwischen 11 und 17 Uhr wird an Deutschlands höchster Talsperre gefeiert. Alle Interessierten können an diesem Tag die Staumauer in Augenschein nehmen. Dazu gehört auch ein Programm mit Radio-Bühne, Wasserspielen und eine Hüpfburg.

Der Eintritt ist frei.

An diesem Tag ist die Staumauer für den Verkehr gesperrt. Mehr Infos zum Programm und den Parkmöglichkeiten finden sich auf dem Flyer (Pdf) vom "Talsperrenbetrieb-LSA".

Bodetal hiking trail, hiking trails in the Harz, hiking trail between Rosstrappe and Bodetal

 

Due to some storms and heavy rain, there are now an increasing number of fallen trees on the hiking trails. In some places, sections have been closed and diversions have been created. Visitors with bicycles who want to use the hiking trails will find conditions difficult. Hikers should also expect obstacles.

Danger!

The "Schurre", the path between the Bodetal and the Roßtrappe, is now considered an "alpine via ferrata". You should have good footwear and be in good shape when climbing the Schurre.
